Weekend of Independence Day

Welcome Back New York! I’m sorry for the lack of an update last week. I was out of town and forgot to post detailing that I wasn’t around last weekend so my humblest apologies. Well my first weekend back on the job is not a busy one. With the July 4th holiday, the MTA has kept a skeleton crew of workers doing some late night work on the Queens Blvd and Canarsie lines and an express run on the 5th for the 7 train. The most exciting news is the extension of the G train to Church Ave beginning Sunday. While it will eventually herald a painful closure of the viaduct stations, for the moment one can’t argue with increased service of any kind. So for one weekend, Huzzah for the G train!
