Welcome back everyone, especially me! I had an excellent week being far away from computers, TV, and news sources in a general sense. And what happens when I get home? Well the Lehman Brothers building across from my office suddenly says Barclay, Wall St has collapsed in a fiery ball, and the best Columbian Restaurant in Jackson Heights is suddenly for sale! God, you leave this city for a week and it changes. The trials and tribulations of New York are part of the joy/challenge of living here and as always the Subway makes sure we don’t have it easy. Though in the grand scheme of subway changes, this is an extremely light weekend. There are only seven trains with service changes! Most will have easy weekends if the rain doesn’t flood the system. Well as always click the map below to get the scoop. I hope you made it through a week without me and welcome back. Happy Tracks New York!

Important Note: I will be out of the country until from Sept. 13-22 so I will be unable to make a map for the weekend of Sept. 20. I hope you will all come back to see what’s up on Sept. 27 however. Thanks.
Welcome back everyone. I hope you all had a fruitful week getting ready for this weekend. The good news is that there are not too many wholesale changes to the subway this weekend. As always, there are people who will be inconvenienced by service changes but on the whole things seem pretty quiet this weekend. Things are especially quiet in the outer boroughs where the 4, N, E, and F trains see changes but not much else. As always, click on the map below to get the full picture. Happy Tracks New York! And enjoy the next two weeks.

Welcome back New York, and get ready for a rainy, Hurricane Hanna-filled weekend. It’s bad news for all the people I know getting married this weekend. It looks like the remnant of the tropical storm may bring 2 inches of rain or maybe much more. Hopefully the subway doesn’t get flooded and shut down. As always, there are some major changes to report this weekend though there aren’t as many wholesale changes as usual. But there are problem spots, just clock on the map below to find out what they are. I will have a very busy weekend but I will try to post the winners and losers on Friday. If not, you will just have to let the map guide you. Happy Tracks New York!
